Scott began his career as an intern at a small Indiana newspaper while attending Hanover College. After graduating from Hanover in 1998, he continued in the newspaper business and quickly climbed the corporate ladder. After a few months as a sales representative, Scott became Sales Manager and then Advertising Director at the age of 22. By age 23, Scott was promoted to Regional Advertising Director and took control of the advertising departments for 3 Indiana newspapers: the Greensburg Daily News, the Batesville Herald Tribune, and the Rushville Republican. He was able to increase profitability and success in each of these instances and laid the groundwork for what would eventually become his life's passion.

At the age of 24, Scott left the newspaper business and began providing advertising services to auto dealers. Taking on a partner in 2001, this start-up company eventually became Tri-Auto Enterprises. Today, Scott is both owner and C.E.O. of CIK Enterprises and is always looking for another "big idea." Scott plans to start new companies under the CIK umbrella and grow each business through the direction and strategy that he and his partner have created. Scott loves the game of business and sets goals that always ask: "what's next?"
